Electrical Engineering Manager

Mill Plain Electric is looking for a Senior level Electrical Engineer to manage our Engineering group for industrial and commercial projects including: engineering calculations, power distribution, lighting design, controls design, EV charging , power analysis instrumentation and controls.

Responsibilities

Manage, prepare and modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and MPE standards
Committed to help recruit, hire and train high caliber engineers and designers that share our core values
Electrical design with primary responsibilities of power, lighting and controls per client requirements
Provide studies of power quality, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis
Development of cost estimates for design/build projects
Coordinating with BIM designers
Lead and work with designers and drafters to produce detailed designs
Resolve design and development problems
Manage a team to deliver quality construction documentation specifications, schematics, power and lighting plans, one-lines, etc.
Interface with clients, utility companies, construction administrators, project team and vendors
Participate in company-wide business development
Pre-Fab coordination/design
Mission Critical design.
Responsible for adhering to all MPEs safety standards and practices
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
5-7 years experience in electrical design of industrial and commercial projects
Professional Engineering License REQUIRED.
Possess organizational skills
PMP certification is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and in-house staff
Proven proficiency with AutoCAD current Software Release
Proficient with Excel spreadsheets including macros
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter with strong attention to detail
Possess and able to maintain a valid driver’s license
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient on Bluebeam
Revitt/Accubid prefered.
